As part of Record Store Day, Neon Indian are releasing “Hex Girlfriend” as a special edition 10”, which includes a rework from Twin Shadow on the B-side. The track features on Era Extraña, available now on iTunes. In addition, Neon Indian is also set to embark on a tour of North America, starting this Wednesday at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, and including dates with Purity Ring. Purveyor of sophisticated synth-pop sounds, Neon Indian, unveils his new animated visual for Era Extraña's "Fallout" in conjunction with the good folks over at Adult Swim. Both creative forces enlisted Flying Lotus collaborator Lilfuchs to take over the directing responsibilities. The director chose an anatomically challenging chillwave Barbie type of animated protagonist who rides and shines in her hot-pink sports car. Watch it above.

Following the positive feedback for his renditions of Lana Del Rey's "Blue Jeans" and M83's "Midnight City," Los Angeles-based producer PatrickReza sends out his dubstep translation of Neon Indian's "Polish Girl" single. As the energetic tune indicates, there can be more goodness to be expected from this talented beatsmith. Tune in below.

Unless you catch them for soundcheck, it's not very likely that you'll see a popular band perform in a completely empty venue. That's what For No One TV has decided to change. Even though a live, jam-packed crowd provides energy like no other, For No One has set out to capture talented acts jamming out with nothing in front of them. Following up to this week's release of their sophomore LP Era Extraña and the arrival of its first video, Neon Indian stopped on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night in order to deliver a splendid live rendition of the first single "Polish Girl." You can watch the performance above and see how excited a TV host can be when it comes to their music guests.

Coinciding with today's release of their new album Era Extraña, comes the official music clip for "Polish Girl." Helmed by Tim Nackashi and produced in collaboration with The Creators Project, the plot deals with a moving futuristic love story.

Era Extraña, the new album from Neon Indian, is out today via main man Alan Palomo's Static Tongues label and Mom + Pop Music (It's out on Transgressive Records in Europe and the UK, Pop Frenzy/Inertia in Australia and Big Nothing in Japan). The other day, Texas-based band Neon Indian put out a brand new song called "Hex Girlfriend," which will be found on their upcoming fourth album, Era Extraña. Now, as they do with many exciting indie projects, the folks over at NPR have the album streaming in its entirety until it hits stores next Tuesday, September 13. According to NPR's Bruce Warren, it may be classified under the genres chillwave or glo-fi, "But the inventive and tuneful Era Extraña is every bit as much a pop album as, say, the Madonna classics that precede it."
