His biography reads: Kavinsky died in a car crash in 1986, whilst driving his beloved Testarossa. He re-appeared as a zombie in 2005, with his 12-inch, ‘Teddy Boy’. The Zombie has now come back with a new EP and is giving us two examples of what his upcoming offering will sound like. Yesterday we presented you the title track plus a remix graced by Breakbot, and now it’s up to you to follow a ghostcar on the highway via the second track “Pacific Coast Highway”. Parisian beatmaker Kavinsky has been a fixture on international dance floors for a while now. His latest effort entitled “Nightcall” should easily solidify his reputation among lovers of radly-electro house music. Produced by Guy Manuel de Homem Christo of Daft Punk, this track serves as a homage to all that 80s sci-tech movie outro music. With vocals from CSS’ Lovefoxx, Kavinsky offers a downtempo slice of bumpy synths and whispery singing. “Night Call” drops via Record Makers on March 22.
