Harlem – Someday Soon

The budget for Harlem’s new single “Someday Soon” obviously did not exceed any barriers. However, the VHS-look does the lo-fi influenced song justice – in a good way. Detecting a plot in this series of shots showing the band members engaged in rather trivial activities is a hard mission. Entertaining nonetheless. Off their album Hippies, out now via Matador.

If you’re looking for Cam’ron on this record you won’t find him but, good news is lo-fi garage rock lives on! As you’ll hear in this new record from indie-rockers, Harlem. The song does great justice for the band by showcasing their cheeky humor and all while bringing forth forth a catchy, easy-going tune. Their upcoming project Hippies is out April 6, 2010 on the Matador label. Check it out.
