There is a compilation called We Are the Works In Progress on the way to benefit the tsunami relief efforts headed up by Japan Society and Architecture for Humanity Japan. The piece is spearheaded by Redhead’s Kazu Makino and is set to contain records from the likes of Deerhunter, Blonde Redhead, John Maus, Pantha Du Prince among others. After turning heads with his impressive rendition of Radiohead's The King of Limbs tune "Seperator," UK-based purveyor of fine electronica sounds Four Tet unleashes "Locked," which marks one half of his contribution of the 59th installment of Fabric’s ongoing Fabriclive mixtape series. Slated to drop October 18, the piece is set to includes the sounds of Caribou, Burial and Ricardo Villalobos, along with a few originals. Purveyors of experimental house tunes – Burial, Four Tet and Thom Yorke – have joined for a 12" release which contains two impressive tunes respectively titled "Mirror" and "Ego." Both cuts were premiered on UK radio station Rinse FM yesterday afternoon. Electronica aficionado Kieran Hedben, better known by his alias Four Tet, creates a lively 9 minute-version of the band's track "VCR". The edit premiered on Gilles Peterson’s show on Wednesday night. In anticipation of their "Angel Echoes" Remix 12"-release London-based Electronica artist Four Tet unleashes the superb Caribou remix of the song as an audible teaser. The electro masterpiece "Stick To My Side" by German producer Hendrik Weber, better known through his moniker Pantha Du Prince, can be detected on numerous playlists around the globe these days. Kieran Hebden of Four Tet fame now offers his rendition of the enigmatic single "Stick to My Side", off Pantha's new album "Black Noise". The result of this musical threesome is a vibrant and uplifting techno jam. The remix is part of the "Stick to My Side" single, which drops via Rough Trade digitally today in the UK and tomorrow in the U.S., and on vinyl 12" March 23. The digital version contains two bonus remixes, including the Walls remix.
