Fresh off the plane from Coachella where he played unprecedented sets both weekends with seminal trio Company Flow, iconic Brooklyn rapper/producer El-P announces a string of headlining dates presented by the global leader of online streetwear Karmaloop and supported by a cast of rising hip-hop talent including Killer Mike, Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire and Despot. Before the tour, El-P and Despot kick things off with a C4C release party at Santos Party House in NYC on Monday, May 21 and will be directly supporting Cancer4Cure, his album on Fat Possum Records dropping May 22. Killer Mike returns with a beast-of-a-record today produced by El-P. Just last month we got a chance to hear his impressive track with Bun B and T.I. and now follows up with yet another stellar effort with Scar. After roughly a five-year album hiatus, El-P is set to return in 2012 with a new project titled Cancer for Cure. The underground rapper/producer lets loose the work's debut single "The Full Retard," which you can stream below. We expect to hear more form El-P, as his anticipated album is slated to hit on May 22.

EL-P is the first to try out Legitmix (makes music sampling legal) to make a single (in short – he made a song with a huge sample, Rush's "Tom Sawyer," without permission and he's selling it). e's donating all the sales to the ailing Mr. Dibbs. We have a long line of known producers eager to try this platform out but all have been waiting for someone to go first. It's also interesting to try out this new technology as it's not been done before. Information below on both song and algorithm:

When a consumer purchases "Rush Over Bkyln", the browser-based Legitmix software searches their computer for the "Tom Sawyer" track. If they don't have it they can purchase it from Legitmix or any online music store. With a few mouse clicks, the Legitmix software recreates on the binary level "Rush Over Bklyn" on the consumer's computer using their copy of "Tom Sawyer". The price of "Rush Over Bklyn is $0.70 plus the retail cost of the "Tom Sawyer" track (if the consumer doesn't have it).

EL-P unleashes the new visuals to one of his recent features, “Time Won’t Tell.” The video takes on a more cinematic feel, which has become more apparent in music videos it seems. Dating back to 2005, Central Services served as project that EL-P and Camu Tao recorded but for some reason or another, never was released. That is until now, as they prepare to release Camu's first and final album, King of Hearts, they offer Central Services as a free download in conjunction with a pre-order of the album.
