Good times for the lovers of fine Electronica sounds. According to Busy P, real name Pedro Winter, the Grammy Award winning, French electronic collective Justice are working on their second album. The Ed Banger Records boss revealed this to Australia’s In The Mix after his set at Parklife festival. Although there was no immediate rush behind the project, Winter is optimistic that the album will turn out great.
They actually started to work on it not that long ago. They started on the first parts of it about two months ago, so we’re going to give them some more time to keep working on it. I keep telling them that I don’t want them to rush things, because at Ed Banger we are free, we can do it our own way. From me being the boss of the label they have all the time that they need. If they need another year to make a record then I would give it to them. People always say ‘we’re waiting for the new Justice’, but if you look at some artists like Beastie Boys or Daft Punk, they sometimes take four years between albums, so we’re still on time with Justice. I’m confident in their skills and if the album is out in 2011 then I will be happy.

2010 is a big year for the epic label Ed Banger Records. Not only does this year mark the labels 7th anniversary, but also the peak of their worldwide domination of the electronic music scene. With the release of Uffieʼs long awaited album and Breakbotʼs groundbreaking debut EP Baby Iʼm Yours, it is not just in Europe that Ed Rec is making its mark. From Los Angeles to Tokyo, Ed Rec mania is taking over. To mark this symbolic birthday, Ed Banger organized a huge week-end of celebration in NYC featuring the artists that have contributed in making the label a household name: Justice, Uffie, Busy P, DJ Medhi, SoMe, Sebastian, Breakbot, Feadz.
Konbini, the internets most creative and forward-thinking Web TV has captured this unique event in electro music history in an exclusive web-documentary to be released worldwide in June 2010 only on Konbini.com and Etnies.com : THE ED BANGER 7. To create a weeklong event around the program, and to respond to the high level of enthusiasm from the fanbase, the 7 episodes of THE ED BANGER 7 will be released over one week, one episode a day from June 23rd to June 30th 2010, then available to watch and re-watch online for free on Etniesʼ website and Konbini.com. The documentary features the whole Ed Banger crew as they discover New York, the American club scene and are exposed to their rising success in the U.S. The series focalizes on real-life scenes and the chaotic and fun-filled lifestyle of professional DJʼs.
Ed Banger Records proudly presents their latest video release by Breakbot featuring Irfane, “Baby I’m Yours”. It was directed and quite literally handmade by Irina Dakava. Breakbot has been a fixture on the French electronica scene and is gaining international reputation since signing with the legendary label. His interpretation of electronic music is mainly breakbeat-orientated. The video is a beautiful sequence composed of approximately 2,000 individual images, each painstakingly painted with watercolors one right after another.

Busy P, head of famed underground label Ed Banger Records, has announced the release of Uffie’s first album Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans in June 2010 on Ed Banger/Because Music. The creational process for the record easily surpasses the production of other releases, this one seems to be worth the wait nonetheless.
We’ve been working hard on this record, something like 4 years to make it happened. I would like to thank the A-Team, FEADZ, MR OIZO, SEBASTIAN and MIRWAIS for providing the perfect beats. After Dj Mehdi, Justice, Mr Oizo and Krazy Baldhead, this is only the 5th album on Ed Banger records, i hope you’ll like it.
Ed Banger-representatives DJ Mehdi and Riton join forces once again to form their collaborative project Carte Blanche. Both creative minds unleash their latest video for “Gare Du Nord”. After one listen it becomes apparent that the mastermind behind dance anthems like “Disco Dynamite” and “Over The Top” remains true to his style of putting out decent Electro mashups. Originally signed at Moshi Moshi Records Breakbot is aiming for a huge impact in the music business with the release of the title track of his debut EP “Baby I’m Yours” via Ed Banger Records. Backed by vocals by Irfane this laid-back but feel good song underlines the production talent of this French musician. With his clever combination of disco and electro elements Breakbot marks a decent addition to the catalogue of the legendary label run by Busy P. The EP features besides “Baby I’m Yours” another single entitled “Make You Mine.” Also included are two impressive remixes by Siriusmo and LaFunkMob. Check out the title track.
