Chicago's Sound Remedy came correct with his modern rendition of Ludwig van Beethoven's timeless "Moonlight Sonata," whereas the Hood Internet mashed up the talents of Ellie Goulding, Kanye West and the Portland Cello project. Last week further saw Swizzy going "Bonkers" and the reemergence of Yung Joc who used Rick Ross's trademark "Ugh/Huh" uttering and created a song out of it.

Further highlights encompass Curren$y's "Run Dat Sh*t," a new track by DOOM and Ghostface's brainchild DOOMSTARKS, a Hercules & Love Affair remix of Chromeo's new single, Weezy's cover of Adele's "Rolling in the Deep," and Big Shug and DJ Premier's Guru tribute track. Due to the nation's birthday last week, we skipped on our beloved Weekly Set so that we can now offer you the most notable audio news within the past 14 days. Right on top we find reemerging band Limp Bizkit to join forces with another Wu-Tang member. This time around, the Chef himself adds some verbal jabs for "Combat Jazz" which is also the bonus cut of the band's new Gold Cobra album. Chi-Town's Cool Kids provided yet another summer jam produced by Pharrell Williams whereas Hypetrak had the honors to present a Caribbean-flavored new Theophilus London jam. In addition, Lil Wayne made it loud and clear that "Tunechi's Back" over the "Tupac Back" instrumental while Breakbot added his disco-funky touch to Chromeo's "When the Nights Falls."

Further offerings contain a previously unreleased diss record by 2Pac, an excellent blend of Lupe Fiasco and Lil Wayne's rhyme skills, a Swedish House Mafia remix of Coldplay's new single, a Childish Gambino mashup, as well as a new song by The Glitch Mob.

Summertime is officially in full effect. With the temperature steadily rising within the Northern Hemisphere, recording artists took notice and delivered some sun-drenched tunes for your audio pleasure. Need proof? Just check this week's Weekly Set. The Cool Kids swimsuit up along with soulful crooner Mayer Hawthorne, and so do Common and No I.D. who avoid going crazy off the heat. Internet sensation Kreayshawn has some friendly words for female gold diggers whereas Mac Miller and Talib Kweli bethink themselves to their core values. In addition, a previously unreleased track hints at the fact that Cudder has been fighting bipolarity for a while.

Furthermore, Washed Out offered a new tune, The Weeknd took on Drizzy's "Trust Issues," Smoke DZA and Domo Genesis joined forces, Tate La Rock and Troublemaker remixed The Weeknd's "Rolling Stone," and Gold Panda treated his followers with an all-new tune.

After sampling issues initially postponed the release, J. Cole's new single "Work Out" has finally hit the blogosphere last week. Although the sample-heavy track caused mixed reactions within our readership, it has the potential to grow on the listener and make an impact on (non-) digital (radio) waves. Following the announcement that Queens duo Capone-N-Noreaga have split, N.O.R.E. seems to be just fine on his solo path. In preparation of his upcoming album, Superthug, the rapper offered "Finito," a track that features the prominent talents of Lil Wayne and Pharrell Williams. By releasing his Royal Flush 2 mixtape last week, CyHi Da Prynce has shown tremendous potential for a promising rap career. In accordance, his collaboration with fellow G.O.O.D. Music representative Big Sean, "Woopty Woop," has been chosen as one of the standout cuts of the project. After Maybach Music Group's Self Made Vol. 1 has been received very well, Wale is keeping his momentum in check with his new tune "Lacefrontin," which is reminiscent of the DC native's pre-MMG days. Virgina-based genre-crossing trio Mansions on the Moon are currently in 100% album mode. Thus, the band has unleashed the audio version of their new jam, "Darkness," which increases the anticipation surrounding the promising debut long-player, titled Lightyears.

Further highlights include XV's aerial "30,000 Feet Up in the Sky," The Foreign Exchange's "All The Kisses" featuring Amber and Paris Strother of KING, Wu-Tang's "225 Rounds" featuring RZA, U-God, Cappadonna and Bronze Nazareth, Destructo's "Technology," and Best Coast's "Gone Again."

Plenty of high quality music videos have reached us last week – we've seen Frank Ocean's "Novacane," MellowHype's "64," Talib Kweli's "Mr. International," Metronomy's "The Bay," Big Sean's "I Do It," a vintage-infused clip for Jacques Renault's rendition of Breakbot's "Fantasy" as well as the official video for the official version. Lady Gaga presented the shockingly normal video for her new single "Edge of Glory" whereas Chris Brown and Justin Bieber's got apocalyptic in their video "Next 2 You," and last but not least Diplo and Dillon Francis getting all trippy for "Que, Que" featuring Maluca.

Welcome back to the latest edition of our Weekly Set series. With the latest audio impression from his upcoming sophomore effort Take Care, Drizzy is certainly setting up the mood right. So does The-Dream. While announcing his fourth album, The Love, IV (Diary of a Mad Man), the crooner unleashed the double track "Body Work / F*ck My Brains Out" in order to whet the appetite of the masses. Odd Future's Domo Genesis also kept the word spreading with his sample-heavy "Boss Life." Not new, but certainly worth a listen or two is the previously unreleased track by Lil Wayne. Entitled "My Birthday," the tune dates back to 2006 and finds Weezy sharing the mic with Kidd Kidd, Gudda Gudda, T Streets & Mack Maine. Arguably one of the most consistent rappers in the game, Curren$y offered another preview from his much-anticipated Weekend At Burnies. Much to the pleasure of his fans, Spitta does what he does best and kicks a laid back flow on "You See It." Kelly Rowland also scored high with her Lil Wayne-assisted "Motivation." Needless to say that an official remix treatment with the likes of Trey Songz, Busta Rhymes and Fabolous would also receive heavy attention.

Further highlights consist of Skylar Grey's treat "Dance Without You," Thundercat's refreshing "Daylight," Royce Da 5'9"'s long overdue reunion with DJ Premier, Grimes' remix of Washed Out's "Eyes Be Closed," and The Naked and Famous throwback "Bells."

Every new week brings forth a new edition of Hypetrak's Weekly Set. KiD CuDi offered an audible taste from his forthcoming 2 Be Continuum project with frequent collaborator Dot Da Genius. Optimistically titled "Perfect Is the World," the song shows the duo's interesting approach to the rock 'n' roll genre. Redoing Arcade Fire's "Suburbs" is a bold endeavor, however Norwegian songstress Mr. Little Jeans turned in an excellent, slowed down rendition of the epic song. While the world is still waiting for his Kanye West-sampling new single, a previously unheard song by J. Cole, titled "How High," has arrived onto the blogosphere. While there is no official word on where this song will eventually end up, avid followers of Cole's music should be satisfied with the song that honors Red and Meth's timeless same-titled cut. While Kanye West and Jay-Z's H.A.M. has caused mixed reactions within the industry, Alejandro Chal serves an hypnotic translation of the original version, adding a genre crossing dimension to the song. As one of our readership's favorites, Curren$y Spitta is a fixture on our Weekly Set lists. This is also the case with his latest joint, "She Don't Want a Man." This ode to the independent opposite gender heats up the anticipation of his upcoming Warner Bros. debut Weekend At Burnies.

We proudly present to you the 50th edition of our beloved Weekly Sets series. While it remained absent for two months earlier this year, we certainly will continue to deliver you our weekly recap. Mayer Hawthorne resides on top of this anniversary edition with his ELO cover of "Mr Blue Sky." The tune was released a couple of days prior to the release of his excellent Impressions which finds the Michigan crooner reinterpreting some of his personal favorites. You can tell by the tracklist that the musician was digging deep in his immense vinyl collection. In support of his upcoming Timez Are Weird These Days full-length, Theophilus London comes in at number two for his "Last Name London." After a few listens, it becomes apparent that the tune is a perfect combination the multiple sounds and elements that the talented Brooklynite has utilized in his young but already impressive career. It definitely sets the mood straight for the next chapter in his career. Rick Ross's Maybach Music Group seems to be ubiquitous these days. So comes Wale's aggressive "By Any Means" featuring labelmates Meek Mill, Pill and Mr. Rozay which antes up the anticipation for MMG's forthcoming Self Made Volume 1 compilation. Easily one of the game's most intriguing lyricists today, J. Cole continues to tease the world with his abilities with the excellent "See It to Believe It." Unfortunately, there is still no definite release date for Cole World in sight. Wrapping up this week's top five, Cut Copy turned in their very danceable rendition of The Miracle Club's "Light of Love."

The Beastie Boys have already proven that they made one of this year's most impacting comebacks due to their new opus Hot Sauce Committee Part Two. One reason for this is their strong collaboration with Santigold in "Don’t Play No Game That I Can’t Win." Parisian beatsmith Kirikoo Des rounds up the latest top five with his excellent minimal house interpretation of The Weekend's House of Balloons cut "What You Need."

Welcome back to our Weekly Set series. SNL Digital Short trio The Lonely Island is receiving high honors as it resides on this week's top spot. Their revamped collaboration with Justin Timberlake on "Motherlover" seems to have hit the nerves of our readers. Legendary rock outfit The National brought forth "Exile Vilify" – their excellent contribution for the soundtrack of the upcoming video game, Portal 2 – and scored high with it. Bruno Mars teamed up with party experts Far East Movement to recreate their 2010 tune "Rocketeer." Last week also saw the emergence of some unreleased Taylor Gang music in the shape of "Cant' F*ck With It." Boasting rhymes from Wiz Khalifa and Chevy Woods, the track caused for some mixed reactions among our readership. Always consistent with his delivery of flow and selection of beats, Spitta released his excellent Covert Coup mixtape. "Scottie Pippen" was one adequate appetizer.
