While Andre 3000 is or is not filming the highly anticipated Jimi Hendrix biopic, his partner in rhyme took to Twitter to open up on upcoming projects from the OutKast camp. Accordingly, the ATLien hinted at solo albums from him and 3 Stacks to be on the way. His solo LP is about "80% done" and promises "lotta surprises." In addition, KiD CuDi is one of the featured guest rappers on Sir Lucious Leftfoot's solo opus. Speculation on a new group album and solo releases have been ongoing, but lets hope that this time we will see the final product emerging soon.

After recently releasing his new single "Around My Way (Freedom Ain't Free)," which samples Pete Rock & CL Smooth’s classic track "T.R.O.Y.," Pete Rock took to Twitter to express his discontentment with Lupe utilizing the instrumentals. Shortly after that, it was then rumored that the two had reconciled their differences, but apparently that is not what happened. Fiasco spoke with MTV's Sway earlier today, where he said that the issue has yet to be resolved and that Rock was not supposed to reveal their plans of working together. These are the people that are supposed to clear it, and they telling us we gotta remake it. We being told from Pete Rock that we got his blessing to go rock with it."

Engaging with the blogosphere, a fan tweeted in asking “Who's gonna feature on your album?” and to much surprise we got some answers. No surprise, A$AP MOB members were mentioned, but names such as Jim Jones, Raekwon and Kendrick Lamar was all he could mention with a deceiving grin which leads us to believe, we maybe in for big surprises. With his current focus being on the release of Slaughterhouse’s Shady Records debut album, Welcome to: Our House, Eminem has shared that he's also managed some time to work on solo tracks for his next album. While making a visit to Hot 97's Cipha Sounds & Rosenberg show this morning, Em announced not only that Slaughterhouse will be hitting the stage at Hot 97's Summer Jam, but also that he's working on a project of his own.

Well, right now, I’m finishing everything up on the Slaughterhouse album and I’m kind of getting into my next record a little bit. I’m starting to toy [with the next album], yes.

While Pusha is dropping no names on the diss record, it appears that Lil Wayne has no doubts about who the G.O.O.D. Music rapper has adressed. He took to Twitter a few hours ago and left all subliminal messages aside and offered his blatant thoughts on Pusha T.

Great news from Bobby Womack reach us today. According to Womack's Facebook page, the renowned artist is now cancer free following surgery to remove a tumor.

"We're delighted to announce that Bobby Womack has successfully undergone surgery for suspected colon cancer. A tumour was removed last night which turned out to be cancer free. We wish him all the best in his recovery from the operation. Thank you for all your kind messages and support."

Bobby Womack's The Bravest Man in the Universe, his first album in 13 years which was co-produced by Damon Albarn and Richard Russell, hits shelves on June 12 in the U.S. via XL Recordings and one day earlier in the UK.

Kanye West's experimental short film, Cruel Summer, celebrated its premiere during a fancy party Wednesday night during the Cannes Film Festival. The visual piece was projected onto seven screens inside a tented pyramid, designed to give viewers a fully immersive experience. Accordingly, plot details have invaded the interwebs. Hence, Cruel Summer stars G.O.O.D. Music artist KiD CuDi as a car thief who falls for a blind Arabian princess. The seven screens alternately come on and off, sometimes showing different angles of one shot, other times acting as an extended wide screen, complete with a ceiling and floor. Consequently, the audience looks around them at the images, instead of staring straight ahead, which,is supposed to reflect real life according to Kanye himself

"It related to a post-Steve Jobs, post-Windows era, where we're always on our BlackBerry in a ball game or at the movies," West said. "I was very particular about having the screens separate, where your mind puts the screens back together, the way you put memories together. I'm not the best director in the world, but I had an idea that I thought would be amazing to inspire people, like a dream of one day this being the way people watch movies. You know, [Quentin] Tarantino doing a movie like this or a horror movie like this, animation, 3-D ... in this form that surrounds you. People want to go back and see it more and more because they missed something to their left or to their right, and it feels more like the experience of life."

Similar to Kanye's 2010 first movie project Runaway, the short film plays like an extended music video, without much dialogue and striking slow-motion images set to a vibrant soundtrack. The music comes courtesy of various G.O.O.D. artists, many of whom make cameos in the film, including comedian Aziz Ansari. Co-directed by Alexandre Moors, the script was based on a screenplay by Elon Rutberg, and it was shot entirely in Qatar in the Middle East.

"We were literally shooting in Qatar less than a month ago," West said. "It was the most impossible feat, all odds were against us having this moment, showing this at Cannes. The reason why I went so hard is that this is my goal. What I want to do post-Grammys is I want to change entertainment experiences. Like if [late fashion designer Alexander] McQueen or [director] Tarsem [Singh] was to meet the entertainment value of Cirque du Soleil or Walt Disney. We're going to bring it to New York to Qatar and re-edit it ... so you guys are seeing the rough draft of this concept."

The music industry's power triumvirate of Jay-Z, Beyoncé and Kanye West is likely to celebrate a family reunion at this year's BET Awards. At least that's what the nominations list indicates. Yeezy comes in with the most nominations with seven, while his mentor, Jay-Z, received five, and Jay's wife, Beyoncé, earned six. It comes as no surprise that Jay and 'Ye's Watch The Throne project played a massive role in this as their singles - "N----s In Paris" and "Otis" - are up for video of the year. Bey has two nominations in that category with "Love on Top" and "Countdown." The fifth nominee is Usher's "Climax." Other multiple nominees feature Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Drake and J. Cole. Maze featuring Frankie Beverly will receive a lifetime achievement award. Samuel L. Jackson was tapped as a host of the award show, which will be held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on July 1.
