In the recent “ArtsBeat” column of the New York Times, they provided an in-depth review on Kanye’s upcoming, much-speculated music video for his moving single, “Power.” Below is some insight on what to expect, and from the sounds of it, Ye’s visual interpretation of the song appears to be “‘Apocalyptic”
In a coming video for his single “Power” that was created by the artist Marco Brambilla, Mr. West is seen standing imposingly with a heavy chain around his neck. As Mr. West raps, the camera slowly zooms out in one continuous, unedited take to reveal him in a classical structure, surrounded by female attendants who are partly or entirely nude; some kneel before him on all fours, others wear devil horns and still others are suspended upside down from the ceiling. The Sword of Damocles hangs precariously over Mr. West’s head, and behind him an unseen executioner is preparing to strike him with a blade. (ArtsBeat was allowed to watch a portion of this video but was not permitted to post it.)

Not only that he finally set up his own account today, ‘Ye also blessed the Twitter-offices with some lyrical heat. Before this second tour stop, Mr. West also thanked the Facebook staff for the warm welcome:
To all my friends at Facebook,
Many times in life I’ve had to deal with moments of doubt. And as it’s been a minute since I’ve performed any fresh material in front of an audience, this could’ve been one of those moments… but it wasn’t. Your energy was a gift so electric, so genuine, that it really helped me give my best. The energy was so inspiring I had to keep going!
I just hope you got as much from me as I got from you…which was everything!
Love to all my fans, especially at Facebook.
