Vince Staples has linked up with Levi's to build a music technology education program in his hometown of Long Beach. The year-round program kicked of with a songwriting workshop, where the rapper recruits close collaborator and legendary producer Dion "No I.D." Wilson to teach the kids how to compose and mix songs. John Sanders and Leslie Barnes, the program instructors, aim to provide more resources outside of school systems to get kids to create more music and work with music-related skills.
