Kanye West Responds to Yeezy Season 4 Critics

"I just couldn’t it do it, I couldn’t stop.”

Kanye West unveiled his Yeezy Season 4 line at New York's Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park earlier this week. The show has been critically panned, mainly due to the delay and heat, which caused a bit of commotion and even a model to pass out. Last night, West responded to the criticism of the recent collection at Harper's Bazaar's annual ICONS New York Fashion Week event. After performing a medley of songs, 'Ye shared his sentiments:

“At the beginning of this performance I tried my best to not drop. No I tried to listen to all the reports and sh*t and I tried my best to stop trying. But I just couldn’t it do it, I couldn’t stop. No matter what they write, I just couldn’t stop. I appreciate y’all going on this journey for me. I appreciate all the years that y’all put up with me learning in front of you. And listen[ing] to the music at the same time. “ appreciate the moment when Carine [Roitfeld] put her friend on the cover. No, not this moment, I’m talking about when she put Tom Ford on the cover. And all you motherf*ckers were like, ‘Ah, oh, la la la, Carine.’ She’s a motherf*cking icon. There’s only one Carine.”

After the sppech, he dropped his microphone and walked offstage as a crowd of a few hundred cheered him on. Before the show, he also shared a series of tweets:
