It's been a while since we heard any new music from Jimmy Prime; he's been steady putting out loose tracks here and there but it's been over a year since his last solo EP, Block Boy. But the artist credited with coining Toronto "the 6" has clearly been working because he's back with some new fire: "Silver & Chrome" is a dark, brooding track featuring Jimmy's signature sing-song flow. The song is produced by Eestbound, who rose to prominence as the co-producer of perhaps one of the biggest songs of the last few years, Travi$ Scott's "Antidote." Fans will instantly recognize the hard slapping 808s and overfiltered samples that are fast becoming Eestbound's signature productions style, and one that has also landed him production credits for Young Thug and a spot working alongside Wondagurl. You can catch Jimmy Prime at Day N Night festival this weekend in Oak Canyon Ranch, California, where he joins a stacked lineup that includes ASAP Rocky, Flume, Bryson Tiller and more. Stream "Silver & Chrome" above.
