Frank Ocean’s ‘Blonde’ Album Illegally Downloaded Over 750,000 Times in Less Than a Week

So this means his album went gold?

Frank Ocean's new Blonde album hasn't even been out for more than a week yet and has already garnered over 750,000 illegal downloads according to Music Business Worldwide. Blonde as we all know, was released on Apple Music as an exclusive last weekend, with the album yet to hit rival streaming companies. MUSO, a data company that monitors illegal downloads of albums has found the number to be over 750,000 downloads, which doesn't include illegal streams or single tracks. Despite these high numbers, Blonde is still on top of US and UK album charts. As of this week, Universal Music wants to stop releasing albums as streaming exclusives.
