This Is the Uplifting Indie Pop Cover of Chance the Rapper’s “Same Drugs” You Need

A fresh take on one of Chance's best recent songs.

Rap remixes and covers created by artists far outside hip-hop's genre-lines are nothing new, but MisterWives' latest is something special. Rejuvenating the recent music of Chance the Rapper, the indie pop act have produced their own take on Coloring Book cut "Same Drugs." The band themselves have called "Same Drugs" one of their "favorite songs," and lead vocalist Mandy Lee had the following to say in a statement:

Coloring Book has been on repeat in the MW household for months now and Chance in our opinion is one of the most talented and unique artists of our generation. We couldn’t help but cover a tune off the record since it’s all we’ve been listening to and “Same Drugs” was one we gravitated towards most between the message and the musical arrangement. We hope y’all like it and Chance, if you’re reading this please release the Regina Spektor version so we can die happy.
