Nas Debuts New J Dilla Song “The Introduction,” Announces Release of Dilla Project ‘The Diary’

A legend announces a new project from another legend.

For those seeking more from the legendary, gone-too-soon J Dilla, Nas is helping you out a bit. Taking to Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show, Nasir Jones revealed plans to drop a "new," unreleased Dilla project through his Mass Appeal label. Introducing the venture, Nas unveiled a new Dilla song, "The Introduction." The aforementioned record is from The Diary, a 2002 "lost" album from Dilla that will now see release on Mass Appeal on April 15. Besides this new solo cut, the project will also feature collaborations with heavyweights such as Pete Rock, Madlib, Hi-Tek, Snoop Dogg, Bilal, Kokane and more. Sounds like this could be one of 2016's best releases. You can stream "The Introduction" below, and pre-orders for The Diary can be made here.
