MICK & Leon Bridges Unveil ‘Coming Home to Texas’ Project

An ode to Texas.

A few months back, 25-year-old Texas representative Leon Bridges dropped his debut album, Coming Home. Now, MICK has released his very Texas take on the project, Coming Home to Texas. For his rework of Coming Home, MICK rejuvenates and enhances the Leon Bridges original with a blend of Texas rap touches, turning the project into a hybrid of soul and down-south rap retrospective. Lone Star OG's Bun B and Slim Thug are also enlisted for work on the effort. MICK labels Coming Home to Texas as "the best thing" he's "ever done," so expectations should be high for this one. MICK also breaks down the project as such:

Leon Bridges is an underground king who made a classic album with a timeless sound. I wondered what would happen if I remix that with timeless classics from the state of Texas? This is the result.
