Nearly a week ago, it was announced that Kanye West would receive the highest honor at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, the Video Vanguard Award. The award has been won previously by industry legends like Beyoncé, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, and more. The time has finally arrived and the award was presented to Yeezy by none-other-than pop queen Taylor Swift. Back in 2009, 'Ye had infamously interrupted T-Swizzle during her speech acceptance for winning the Best Video Award, which he felt like belonged to Beyoncé for her "Single Ladies" video. Upon handing Kanye the award, Swift praised his musical ability and creativity, and ended the speech with an epic closer: "I'm really happy for you -- and I'mma let you finish -- but Kanye West has had one of the greatest careers of all time!"
