With its strong foothold in the current electronic dance music scene, many may not know the roots of Diplo's record label Mad Decent. Founded in 2005, the Los Angeles-based imprint helped popularize Brazilian baile funk and Angolan kuduro, bringing it sonically to mainstream clubs around the world.
