Previously revealing the demo late last year, East London-based duo Fine Print have graced us with the fully versed rendition of their single "Can't Lie." A soulful remedy to cure your end-of-week woes, the pair sort influences from underground electronic music, classic pop formats and hip-hop to create what we would consider a smooth blend of pure pleasure to the ears. On the fruition of the track, they commented:
"Before we started on 'Can’t Lie' we had been having quite long conversations about the hip hop we loved. Especially the dusty sounding productions from people like Buckwild, MF Doom, Madlib and of course Dilla. While vocally referencing people like Cornell Cambell and Curtis Mayfield. As soon as we nailed the bass line on the chorus we felt we had something special to work with and things fell into place pretty naturally after that."
Tune in above and be sure to check out their first single "About You," both singles will feature on their self-titled debut EP which will be out on August 28 via B3SCI.
