Last month, ATL via NYC rapper/producer Wara From the NBHD connected with Dallas singer/multi-instrumentalist Conner Youngblood in an Atlanta studio. The result of their first session together is "Down Since Birth," a throbbing production that finds Wara succumbing to a sense of urgency to escape his surroundings and reach the next plateau at all costs.
"Working with Conner for the first time was an experience because he's a hardware producer," Wara explains. "He doesn't make any music technically on the computer, so once I explained where I wanted to go with with it we got straight to it."
"'Down Since Birth' has a lot to do with me realizing the evils that money can do and how it can effect a person's life," says Wara. "During the time period it was recorded I was going thru a lot financially and mentally, and I still am it's just now I have a grasp on what it is that needs to really be taken care of. It was hard for me to music at a certain point and this song really brought everything back to life full throttle."
