Like it or not, it's TDE season. ScHoolboy Q got the ball rolling this year with his chart-topping Oxymoron album and Kendrick Lamar is looking to close out 2014 with a bang as his highly anticipated good kid, m.A.A.d city follow-up is more than likely to impact the global music scene. In between both releases stands Ab-Soul and his third full-length offering These Days…. Featuring guest appearances from Black Hippy affiliates Kendrick Lamar, Groovy Q and Jay Rock, as well as Rick Ross, Lupe Fiasco, Action Bronson and Mac Miller, the album arrived with a delay. After a share of delays, which led the Carson native expressing his frustration on Twitter and having discussions with TDE CEO, Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, the album eventually arrived in June and instantly became a fan favorite. We met up with this gifted lyricists at Brewery Recording Studio in Brooklyn to discuss an array of subjects, ranging from his latest album, YouTube comments to his ultimate "HYPETRAK."
