Rarely are tracks as appropriately titled as the newly-liberated J Dilla track "Give Em What They Want." Not a day goes by when there isn't a large sum of people out there wishing for more from the Detroit neo-soul satrap. "Give Em What They Want" is a classic Dilla cut -- the drums are what beatmakers' dreams are made of, and the actual production is the perfect mix of old-school NYC and the Detroit that Dilla once curated and cultivated. The 12" clear vinyl of "Give Em What They Want" will be available on May 6 through Pay Jay Productions, and will include the vocal and instrumental versions of the title track and "The Doe," and "So Far." Each vocal cut was recorded in 2001.
