Its sad when they have to recycle biopic actors....its obvious that hollywood has only about 25 black actors that they rotate. Not giving any new developing talent a chance. Its like we won't recognize Jackie Robinson playing James Brown how ridiculous and ehh inspiring. I feel sorry for Chadwick as well, being obviously typecast and not breaking out after the Robinson flick. All telling he doesnt fit James Brown at all, the personality the whole on film schtick is pushing way to hard to entertain and just writing room corny puns and James Brown soundbites. But blacks will dole out their dollars to see their former cultural icons with other neanderthals and patron saints to see this schmaltzy rubbish. Hollywood is a pisser and this slack jawed yuckity yuck fest truly pisses me off. Leave this Gar Bhage for made to tv, circa Vh1 bio-shits. I'll pass...gas.

i'm black and i'm not racing to see this. i'm good w/ redbox, netflix, hbo etc. Ray set the bar for biopics. I'd def see the Hendrix flim over this. I was a lilttle let down by 42 and this trailer makes me think Chadwick is playing the same character.

I'm excited to see if the movie really display the story of his personal life, that we never got a chance to really see or hear about.
