Kendrick Lamar – Sing About Me (Part 1)

With his debut album, good kid, m.A.A.D. city, receiving seven Grammy nominations, Kendrick Lamar looks to be remembered for influencing the culture. Today he drops off the visual component for his single "Sing About Me," directed by Darren Romanelli. In the first installment of the multi-part music video, Kendrick rides through his Compton streets, to see a mural of his lyrics created by designer/artist Eddie Peake. Part two of the series is set to release next month.

Feel like they could've executed this a lot better.

This remembers me of the Louis Vuitton Commercials with Mos Def (Yasiin Bey) and Niels Shoe Meulman where Mos Def is saying verses made of quotes by Mohammed Ali and Niels Shoe Meulman makes art pieces about those verses.

I like this video by Kendrick but I'm still not satisfied at the end, I'm still waiting for something to come and make it complete... but that's why there are 2 parts (or maybe even more).

Can't wait to see the other part(s). Bring it on, Kendrick.

if Kendrick was a smart man, he'd hold off on a part 2. not for any other reason than to keep boys waiting on it.

then, "leak" it as some lo-fi grainy footage that doesn't look official.

Kendrick stays making these corny ass videos. All we want are videos that mirror the imagry he creates in his rhymes. He couldnt do it for ADHD, swimming pools, sing about me, none of his videos. I get excited about a kendrick lamar video and then whomp whomp, some corny shit that has nothing to do with the song.
