Unreleased Kanye West Interview with MTV (2002)

During this hour-long, unreleased interview with MTV's "You Heard It First" you'll find a young Kanye West talking about his signature soul-sampling style of production, linking up with Roc-A-Fella Records, and much more. Let's face it, he's become perhaps one of the most antagonized music figures in the history of music just for being himself and pushing the envelope. If you have about an hour to kill, this young, eager Kanye West might just change your perception of him, or maybe not. Press play above and see for yourself.

Like everyone, he's changed. More passionate but also more cynical...

  • I am who I am

I seen this a couple days ago. He hasn't changed that much. Same mannerisms, same ego. I think he's stayed true to himself for the most part. His changes aren't drastic. More of an evolution. He's always had passion, and like he said in this interview, he's always had a lot to say, and has spoken his mind about it all.
