Last week we shared the news of a Broadway musical based on Tupac Shakur's work going into production, and now news of the biopic on the legendary rapper are starting to make way. According to Deadline, Morgan Creek Productions has partnered together with Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films to co-finance and co-produce the long-awaited film, Tupac, with an estimated budget of $45 million. Production on the film will begin in Atlanta next February, and has already been granted the blessings of Tupac's mother, Afeni Shakur, who will also lend a helping hand in the film as a producer. While we wait for a director for the film to be announced, notable filmmakers Antoine Fuqua and John Singleton have been linked to the helping create the film, but no concrete details have yet to surface. We'll be sure to keep you up to date as more news is provided, but feel free to let us know who'd you like to see head the film as well as who you'd like to see play the role of Pac on the big screen.
