Ryan Leslie's life on the road has been somewhat eventful in the last few years. Especially the much-publicized million dollar lawsuit filed against him for failing to pay the reward he promised to a German man for finding his laptop has inspired his latest body of work, Black Mozart.
"Black Mozart starts at the moment that I walk out of the courthouse. I wrote the entire album in the two days following the verdict, so the album is written and will be recorded in layers with the strings, horns and potentially a choir in the royal conservatory in Vienna, Austria, one of the homes of some of the most classical music ever written."
Accordingly, the singer-songwriter and producer now brings forth a visual companion, highlighting the recording process in Europe, in the shape of a 25-minute documentary. No matter the verdict, this man knows how to present his craft in spectacular ways.
