Jay-Z’s ‘Magna Carta… Holy Grail’ First Week Sales Projections

Billboard previously announced that the 1 million units bought and distributed by Samsung will not be accounted for in their tally of Jay-Z's Magna Carta... Holy Grail. However, it is highly unlikely that those sales will need to be factored in for Jay to top the charts. Reports predict that Hov's 13th studio album will move between 350k-400k copies in its first week. If all goes according to plan, this will be Jay's 13th number 1 album, which is second all-time, only falling short to The Beatles, who have 19.

It will be Jay's 12th number 1 album. Watch the Throne should not count towards his solo total.

how many number 1 solo albums do you have paul?

Jay Z will never surpass the beatles because he's not a group....There's a Group with the most number one albums and then a solo artist. He didn't fall short of shit, he is #1

Actually he received a platinium plaque today. Check out the pictures.

If Kanye and Jay made 20 albums together that all hit #1, that would beat the record. You can't make 12 alone and one as a group and have it count. I'm not saying he's not good, relax. This is just a fact. MCHG will be his 12th, not his 13th, number 1 album.
