Jay-Z Unveils Lyrics for “La Familia” & “Jay-Z Blue (Daddy Dearest)”

With a brand new day comes brand new lyrics from Jay-Z's highly-anticipated album Magna Carta Holy Grail. While the marketing strategy has shown a range of mixed feelings from fans, some voicing that they'd rather hear the music, opposed to reading it, Jay's rule-changing tactics have surely gotten everyone's attention. Providing a double dose of lyric sheets today, you can now check out both "La Familia" and his previously discussed single "Jay-Z Blue." Magna Carta Holy Grail is set to drop July 7, while 1 million users with the "Magna Carta" app will receive it 72 hours early on July 4.

I don't see the point other than it being a bad attempt at an 'innovative' new way to promote the album. To me, all it seems to be doing is accentuating the unoriginal and simplistic language Jay is using...

If you've ever listened to a Hip-Hop track ever in your life @d118747578c16a1e9f5945cc7d27e35f:disqus, then you should know that it's all about delivery. I agree that posting the lyrics before hand is somewhat.. pointless, but you can't say it accentuates the "simplistic language" until you've heard how he delivers the content.

No doubt about it being about the delivery- i totally agree, as that is one of his best qualities . its just that from reading over these and some of the other songs, i guess i am realizing that compared to other rappers there are less intricacies in his writing. and this is only a result of him posting the lyrics beforehand without fully backing them up via delivery..
