Hit-Boy No Longer with G.O.O.D. Music

It seems like the G.O.O.D. Music exodus continues as another artist affiliated with the stable has announced his plans to part ways with the label. Back in April, Kid Cudi revealed the news that he was departing to embark on his own endeavors, and this time it's Hit-Boy that's branching off to focus on his HS87 projects. Up above, the producer/rapper speaks briefly on his decision and respect for G.O.O.D. Music for you to check out. What does this mean for Hit-Boy's future in the music industry?

rather shoot me than working with kanye

  • burp

i am sure kanye will be really disappointed to hear that you have turned him down

  • Yannick K.

he was so disappointed that he called his daughter north

  • maikel

lol dumb move he cant rap or sing

  • cheezus

I think people leave because kanye is not just a label head, everyone on his label has to contribute to his music weather they like it or not... and i guess as an artist, doing something you dont agree with or being told to do something you might not want to do would get tedious and cause people to leave

  • Hateboy

    Guess Hitboy heard Yeezus :')

  • GrilledCheeseDeluxe

Man, that was a bad joke.

  • Stack Nicholson

oh my god ... that was the worst attempt at anything

  • Massa Fakka

lol dumb comment you cant think or write

  • maikel

    good thing im typing

  • Massa Fakka

by definition, writing encompasses both handwriting and typing.

as i said, you're incapable of thinking and writing.

  • maikel

oh lol sorry i forgot to put my sarcasm off

  • UglyFrank

Hit Boy isn't a good rapper but he thinks he can make the shift from producer to rapper as easily as kanye.
He was the worst on that Scream and Shout Remix and that is saying something.

(My two cents, don't shoot UglyFrank)

  • trollercoaster

Oh no y'all misheard. He said, "I don't make good music". This isn't news!

  • Kimye Era

wooooooooooooooooowwwwwww this is a big deal, It says a lot about what artists think/feel about Kanye. You don't see this happening over at MMG or TDE etc .... Losing Hit Boy & Cudi is like the Heat loosing Wade & Bosh. It seems like a lot of people are trying to stray away from Kanye since he hooked up with Kim. Gives an Idea on why Ye wasn't in the Magna Carta promo videos. Big Sean will leave next IMO.

  • VitoMaserati

People say hit cant rap just like they denied Ye a chance HS87 is the fuckin shit and that camp has a bright future! INLAND EMPIRE!!!!

  • VitoMaserati

Cudi hasnt done shit for GOOD in the last 2 years and just cause Hitboy aint on the label dont mean GOOD aint gona be getting Hitboy production

  • RealTalk

    Both of you STFU!

  • DOM

IE FOR LIFE. It's hot as hell today though.

  • Tony Soprano

    1) Never said Hit Boy would stop making beats for G.O.O.D music.

    2) G.O.O.D hasn't done anything for Kid Cudi.

    3) Kalm the fuck down Vito .....

  • Clarence

How are you fools now gonna start hating on Hit-Boy

Yes, some of his beats are similar, but jeez he's still one of the best young producers and HE FUCKING MADE NIGGAS IN PARIS FUCK YOU ALL YOU INTERNET LAZY LOSER FUCKS..REMEMBER GETTING DRUNK AND LISTENING TO THAT FUCKING SHIT WITH SOME FRIENDS -- AMAZING?? WAIT NO U JUST COMMENT ON RAP SHIT ON THE FUCKING INTERNET

  • Chief Keef

    *bang bang*

  • eyy

They could have laid the same shit over any decent banger. It's nice that producers are getting their respect, but let's be real: the only thing really of note on Niggas in Paris is the lyrics and the Blades of Glory sample. Lex Luger, TNGHT, or Travis Scott couldve done just as well if not better. Anyway, I really meant that his raps suck, and his voice doesn't stand out.

  • ?

lol him and cudi weren't down with that bullshit

  • Дмитрий Кривенко

    Hit Boy makes great beats!

  • Massa Fakka

    what the heck?

  • Massa Fakka

oh lol sorry i forgot that i was talking to a retarded toddler.

  • Kay

hey man chill, my grandmother was a retarded toddler.

  • Kay

"Good Music exodus", you don't think thats over stating it a little? Two artists left to pursue solo projects, they aren't dropping the label and tellin ye to suck one

  • guest

    shut up nigga

  • UglyFrank

That is why Cudi is on track 8....

  • brvhbrvh

you're an idiot, that song was catchy because of the melody... subconsciously that melody stuck into your brain because of Hit-Boy... it was simple, but fucking catchy...

  • Unknwn

HITstory, Jay-Z Interview, East vs West, Brake-Lights, all go tho. How can you say that the kid cant rap. He has something he just has to keep going at it.

  • md

    The album is still shit

  • niko

    He still left kanye's label

  • Robert Quinn
