Yasiin Bey & Mannie Fresh – Black Jesus

In case you didn't know, Yasiin Bey and former Cash Money Records producer Mannie Fresh are working on a collaboration album together, called OMFGODBKNOLA. Today's Easter fest brings a very promising look into what this project will sound like as their new track "Black Jesus" has arrived. Yasiin offers his trademark flow coupled with thought-provoking content while Mannie brings forth an celebratory beat. Definitely a combination that needs to be checked out.

Question: What color was the skin of the man that bared the cross? No matter how many lashes, they couldn't beat it off.

    Wait, isn't Yasiin Muslim?

Muslims believe in Jesus, we just don't believe Jesus (peace be upon) is the son of God. Notice that he's saying "hallelujah the PROPHET black Jesus."

Mos Def is incredible. But he just keeps ripping off people. He tends to include phrases and choruses or topics that have been used in other songs or places. He does the same on this "every where we go people wanna know..." The Blackstar album sadly had that all over the place as well. Most notably on "Children's Story"
