Aside from PSY's "Gangnam Style" sensation in recent times, "Harlem Shake" was the first to climb charts from YouTube streaming data being included in multiple Billboard and Nielsen platforms.
As an otherwise fairly unknown producer, Baauer has capitalized on his success in the digital era, quickly topping charts with his addictive bass-driven club track, in huge part thanks to the spreading of the online meme.
