Some of your favorite artists cite Nina Simone as one of the most important people in their musical upbringing and there's a reason for that. Aside from being a prolific musician, she was a civil rights activist widely associated with jazz music. Today, we get quite a surprise – nearly 10 years after her death, an unreleased song was just released by Nina Simone's estate in honor of her 80th birthday. The song was set to be featured on a Dutch-only album release called Hidden Treasures, however, the recording was never made available to the masses. Tune in above, enjoy.
