Lil Wayne Explains ‘I Am Not A Human Being II’ Cover
By Richard Brooks / News / February 2, 2013 / 4236 Views

We received a number of comments, both positive and negative, on Lil Wayne's cover art for his upcoming album I Am Not A Human Being II. Weezy chimed in with NOLA.com today, during a Macy’s in-store, and discussed the artwork created by Kanye West's DONDA Design, going on to say:

[Kanye] said, you know, man, let me do your cover. I saw the cover and I approved it. He had an explanation behind it – he said, he chose the moth butterfly thing because it has so many different stages of life, and it goes through so many forms and changes, and no one can figure it out, and it’s always beautiful. At a time it’s ugly and at a time it’s beautiful too. And that’s me

Up above you can check the interview that took place during the event where Wayne touched on the upcoming TRUKFIT women’s clothing line, talks about some of his own fashion habits, discussed the Super Bowl, and shared to being open to a Hot Boys reunion, now that Turk has been released. Included with the excerpt of art cover, which also didn't make it to the video, Wayne spoke on features and producers set to appear on the upcoming album as well and shared:

I have a lot of guests on the album. That’s what’s unusual about the album. I’m usually a two or three feature-type guy. But this album, I have a lot of features because I have a lot of friends, a lot of people that wanted to help out. I just appreciate them all. And I have a lot of different production on it too. I got Juicy J, David Banner, Soulja Boy – and that’s the production.

Let us know your comments on the cover's explanation down below as well as any other thoughts.

  • wow

"the moth butterfly thing"... I'm glad you're so passionate about the creative process and you really put time into your artistic direction. Nigga doesn't even understand the shit he pays people to do for him.

  • haha

Paraphrase: "I put a lotta features on it because nobody wants to actually hear me"

  • realtalk

less features means less wayne mic time means better album

  • fuckAtlanta

Kanye just wants Lil Wayne to look stupid.

  • weezyontop

Iduno how the fuck dudes can still hate on wayne when hes had such a huge influence on the game within the last 6-8 years.
From long dreads to being completely tatted, and ofcourse Lean.
Sure, maybe the quality of his songs aren't as great, but wtf do you expect? with a wide range of listeners he's gotta keep them happy. Also realize a large portion of them aren't exactly hip hop fanatics... gtfo his dick and let him make his cake goddamn..

  • OB

lol. WE CAME HERE FOR QUALITY MUSIC THOUGH. if you start making bad music to please your wide range of listeners, it becomes a problem to those who supported the quality stuff from before. the disappointment is inevitable, whatever cake he's making. and influence isn't more important than your actual work, surely?

I bet he smells like cigarettes and spoiled catfish

  • weezyontop

haha, take that up with the hypetrack writer not me...

"The dissapointment is inevitable" exactly. It is impossible to keep every single one of his fans happy throughout time. You think dudes who were bumpin reasonable doubt were all over blueprint 3? As businessmen rappers are willing to sacrifice some of those original fans.

Wayne has contributed a lott, yet everyone seems to forget that kus they're to focused on bashing his lyrics lol u realize every teeniebopper is listening to him. You think itd be a smart business move to all of a sudden go Rakim lyrical on i am not a human being 2? think about that

you want people to get off Little Wayne's dick so you can have it to yourself, huh?

    nigg*s gotta stay relevant

He's not in the game for hiphop. He says he's hiphop when he is really mainstream rap. There is a difference and lil wayne's job is to cause controversy so that his name can somehow intertwine with hiphop in order to fit in. Actually he has been hurting the game for all these years. Also hair, tattoos, and body size are all only appearances kinda like how he wore size 60 jerseys past his knees when he is about a size 42 jersey give or take. It's also obvious that his fashion style has white tendencies. There was a time when black people would call you gay if you wore tight pants and whoop your ass and kick u out the click cuz only woman were supposed to wear tights lol.
P.s. lil wayne is retarded if he came to a realization that he's like a moth (its either hilariously deep or a premature idea) LOL till i fall out and die

    this nigga is a clown

I'm missing how "White Tendencies" has anything to do with a discussion about a song..No need to be racist.. Hip Hop includes white people, has for years...get with it
As far as Wayne goes..he's not your usual 90's RAP icon..he does different shit..he's def fell off some..but, we ain't on the VIEW, who gives a fuck what he wears?
