New Azealia Banks freestyle courtesy of the latest dance fad taking place on the internet, the "Harlem Shake." Gritty bars take precedence over the hyphy beat that's become the backdrop to thousands of people participating in the Harlem Shake phenomenon happening on YouTube. Check it out below and let us know if Azealia did justice to the beat, we think so.

    she's so thirsty ///

The beat still exists separately. Nothing is ruined. Don't be so dramatic...

  • TopBananas

If you're rapping on Harlem Shake almost a year after it was released then you lost one.

  • ThisSideSaysUpUpUpAndAway

^ And, this is how you ruin a genre.
    (smh)

  • JimPharr

right, but this isn't an article about the beat... it's about this "song." which is terrible.

  • Lashay

lol at "latest dance fad" niggas been doing the harlem shake since 2002 or 2003. and this song been out for like a year. this 'fad' has ruined the song for me. baauer has other amazing beats anyways. and also why are white people calling this music 'trap' ? its not

  • Lashay

I agree im a banks fan but im not delusional this is bad. Im hoping her album sounds as good as 1991/Fantasea. What a waste of a hype beat.

  • BoobsMcghee

trapstyle is a different genre of music (EDM+trap) from the hiphop trap music.. soo chill racist.

  • Lashay

i agree it is totally different but if its different why did white people steal the name of the genre? we dont call waka flocka hiphop trap because HE IS TRAP. you guys didnt create hip hop so how are you going to dictate genres of our music? and its not called being racist its called stating FACTS.

  • BoobsMcghee

It's all music. Music genres are derived from each other all the time. Music and race are two different things. I think you might be intertwining the two and confusing yourself. FYI -- I'm black.
