Daft Punk Signs to Columbia, Plans to Release New Album This Spring
After signing with Virgin Records back in 1996, French dance duo Daft Punk have now left the label and signed to Sony-owned Columbia. With their new deal the pair plan to release their fourth album this spring, as hinted by one of their most recent collaborators, Chic's frontman Nile Rodgers. According to NME, Rodgers as well as Oscar-winning songwriter Paul Williams, disco pioneer Giorgio Moroder, Animal Collective’s Panda Bear and Feist collaborator Chilly Gonzales have all contributed to the upcoming LP. The album will mark the duo's first official album since '05's Human After All. Stay tuned as we'll surely provide more information as it is revealed.
