It comes as no surprise that Brooklyn's Barclays Center is a potential host for enormous events. Case in point, Jay-Z, who honored the inauguration of the arena with a series of performances, is set to unite with Coldplay for a New Year's Eve concert. Just two years ago, Jay-Z celebrated the new year with his friend Chris Martin and Coldplay at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. The show featured surprise appearances from the likes of Beyoncé, Kanye West and John Mayer. Hova and Coldplay also most recently performed at the Paralympic Games closing ceremony in London.
