Universal Music Group Acquires EMI

The rich get richer, as Universal Music Group has just been approved to merge with EMI Group. This acquisition will make Universal the world's largest music company. The group will, however, be forced to sell a number of its imprints, losing the rights to release material globally from artists such as Coldplay, Blur, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, M83, Bat for Lashes and more.
