Lupe Fiasco – American Terrorist Pt. II (Superheroes)

After being involved in a little situation with Chief Keef earlier today on Twitter, which has since been removed, Lupe Fiasco now lets loose a new track for fans to check out. "American Terrorist Pt. II" is not set to appear on his upcoming album Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1, but following Lu's most recent tweets in regards to no longer rapping, he shared the track. Sharing:

My father I have spoken the truth to them yet it has only made my life in this world more troubled. I can bear this no longer... I have spoken peace only 2 receive vitriol and malice in return. My brother seeks destruction my sister seeks attention paths to nothingness. I'd die for them... but they'd probably spit on my grave... I still will die for them... Just bury me in a place far from their reach... Amin. This album will probably be my last... Its been a pleasure to have all my fans provide so much love an inspiration for me and my family, but my heart is broken and I see no comfort further along this path only more pain. I cannot participate any longer in this... My first true love was literature so I will return to that... Lupe Fiasco ends here...

Take the message for what you may, and enjoy the new track down below.

Just a week ago Lupe Fiasco sat down to discuss the future of rap, and expressed his fear for the next generation rap culture led by young up and comers like Chief Keef.

“Chief Keef scares me. Not him specifically, but just the culture that he represents,” said Lupe in the interview. “Specifically in Chicago. And I don’t speak this about any other city because I’m not from there. But like my family lives in Chicago. So my nephews, my cousins, my friends, and my peoples they all in those hoods that he represents. When you drive through Chicago…The hoodlums, the gangsters, and the ones you see killing each other. And the murder rate in Chicago is skyrocketing and you see who’s doing it and perpetrating it, they all look like Chief Keef.”

Chief Keef didn’t take too kindly to Lupe Fiasco’s feelings, and issued a threat earlier today via the popular social networking platform Twitter. “Lupe fiasco a hoe ass nigga And wen I see him I’ma smack him like da lil bitch he is #300″, Chief Keef tweeted towards Lupe Fiasco.

Chief took offense to what Lupe said about him in an interview about representing a culture that he is "scared of". Chief said he'll "smack Lupe like the little bitch he is" and Lupe replied with words of wisdom, forgiveness and advice. Lupe the God.

If we lose Lupe it will be one of the worst days of my life, and music's life. You can't classify him as rap or hip-hop because he truly transcends the barrier to speak to us about the world's ills. But seriously, this Sosa bitch better watch his back, I will get his fucking ugly ass head chopped off no doubt, he dissed a legend and what did Lupe do? Didn't even diss him, just pointed out how ignorant he is making the people. Whatever, I really hope you doesn't stop rapping because Whoopi Goldberg decides to show a wimpy shot.

Why are you not writing the stories instead of these guys. That was a better and more informative read than the actual article.

  • Dray

    Lupe cannot retire..he just cant..

  • M!stro

    I feel Lu, I understand 100%.
The rap is horrid and it's becoming greatly excepted, everyone is rapping about the same sh!t. Bringing down their hood and the world at the same time and it's like no 1 cares, but hey, can't save everyone.
Rap is going to hell in a hand basket, it's just going thru its torment right now.
Lupe, you the man and you'll reign on my No.1 list.

i mean shit the only reason why they let hip hop get so big is for the deterioration of the community that listens to it not saying that there aren't any prolific rappers out but rappers always complain about how their shit wont get played if they sound too real yeah the songs are catchy as i dont know what but they're meant to entertain but some ppl listen to it just like they watch movies and relate it to their lives now if you aint selling crack you showing crack attention is the only way with these social platforms everyones a star but people are just doing stupid shit kids know the lyrics to every song thats cool but teachers can pretty much some up by grade percentages what kid is what thats some f'd up shit like its cool to be dumb! not saying that is the message the songs deliver but they damn sure aint talking about no revolutionary shit prisons keep growing its time that we shifted gears now people are wack for not being combative and wanting to punch a fellow rapper in the face ppl are entertained by filming each other on their cameras beating the shit out of each other for "disrespectful" shit everyone who entertains bullshit is disrespectful lets promote uplifting shit ppl are so negative nowadays now the hot chic is the bitch what happened to being respectful and kind geez shit is damn near non existent.

It's not hard to write clearer articles than Jonathan Sawyer and friends. They're mediocre for having such a successful blog. I could do better.

Don't even sweat that weak minded dude Lupe. I'm sure your father trained you well to deal with whatever some fool comes at you with. But even more so "Hasbun Allahu wa Ne'mal Wakeel". Salaam

right when i heard dubstep i turned it off.dubstep is the most shittiest creation in the world.idc how good lupes message is over this piece of shit genre.GO BACK TO THE ALTERNATIVE RAP SOUND

  • Charliy Folarin

Fuck Lupe he was being a young ignorant muslim chief keef back in his day, he's no different just because of his new hippy ass thoughts. Truly excited to see Lupe going literature.

  • wavycrockett

you're completely disregarding lupe's whole message by saying this. violence shouldn't everyone's first option or prerogative, we gotta learn to at least learn to tolerate one another. then from there we can truly start to think & begin to see the value of one another. chief keef is definitely not the wisest person alive, but you gotta remember he's young and his environment is definitely a major factor. lupe grew up in the same place, but instead of fallin into the cycle that is the streets, he saw through it & now we wants to help others see through it as well. although it is hard to talk sense into fools, we just gotta hope & pray that one day things can be different

  • HungryTimes

infiltration is a very intelligent yet hard tactic to use in fighting a social structure that is very heavily flawed. I wish Lupe wouldn't leave because regardless of what little result he sees, he is making some impact. But i understand his frustration.

One of the worst music related news pieces I've ever read :(

  • Orlando Juarez-Vitela

Hip-hop has always been about transcending genre's. Hip-Hop isnt a box you put people in and about of. And for the love of hip-hop let them say things to each other. there has to be balance. It's music. It's hip-hop. Its purpose is to make you feel or re-affirm a feeling.

not everyone is rapping about the same thing. spend sometime and look for better music. don't blame what you hear if you don't search for it or make it.
