Hit-Boy – HITstory (Mixtape)

As expected, today Hit-Boy drops off his first-ever project as a rapper, titled HITstory. While we've already received a pair of releases from the work, we now see that the tape highlights additional assistance from the likes of Big Sean, Bun B, Chip Tha Ripper, John Legend and more.     His flow is soooooo generic, and I feel the same about the rhyme scheme. I know he is bound to get better with Kanye working with him (hopefully). He definitely has the beatmaking down, there are just some beats on this that make you go "Wow, I wish someone like Kendrick or Pusha was on this joint." It speaks to his production skills but on that note, there are some good tracks on this and a few awful ones (namely "She Belongs to the City"). East vs. West and the aforementioned Old School Caddy are the best tracks fo sho.

    really disappointing. very monotone voice. i didn't feel like i was hearing any real emotion and beat wise i was not impressed considering this guy is the producer of tracks like "goldie" "drop the world" "Mercy" and "niggas in paris"
