Jhené Aiko – For My Brother

While working with No I.D. on her debut album, Jhené Aiko had to suffer a family tragedy. The Def Jam signee penned a moving tribute to her brother and best friend Miyagi, who died from cancer last week at the age of 26. The Los Angeles native wrote and recorded the song herself on her laptop with the intention of only playing it for her brother. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family.     The first part was just a comment on him looking like Obama (random, definitely). The second part was a reference to God and how this life is temporary, and the true home of His children is in His heavenly kingdom. Touching dedication, you can tell she loved her brother.
