Chief Keef Signs with Interscope Records

The bidding war is over. Up-and-coming Chicago rapper Chief Keef has signed with Interscope Records after being approached by labels such as Grand Hustle, Cash Money Records and Young Jeezy’s CTE imprint. Before entering the stage Saturday night as a guest of T.I.’s at Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash, he opened up to MTV about his new label home and signing a publishing deal with Dr. Dre.

“I’ve been talkin’ to a lot of labels, but I just noticed that Interscope got people like 50, Eminem. ”They was talkin’ good to me. They was talkin’ like I was talkin’ and I liked that. All these other labels, I was talkin’ to ‘em, but it’s time anyway for me and I’m goin’ with Interscope.”

    Lol at everyone on here talking about him getting paid.  You want to get paid?  DIY (ie, do it yourself).  Especially someone like Chief Keef who does hood sh*t/music, he's perfect type to make mad $ staying independent.  Maybe he did make $ but Labels are a dying entity unless you're a pop artist who's doing Top 40 music.  I would've held out longer if I were Chief Keef.  His buzz could've still grown even bigger to the point where he's demanding 7 figures.
