By Davis Huynh / Music, Tracks / June 5, 2012 / 862 Views

In just a few weeks time Mishka Records will be releasing the debut mixtape for a brand new Mishka Records artist Carrie Wilds. She serves as the first solo female act to have a release out on the label. Carrie is a Brooklyn-based chanteuse who’s intertwined her Southern soul roots with the city’s thriving electronic scene. After working with artists from Drop The Lime to Crookers, Carrie has teamed up with world champion DJ Shiftee to curate her self-titled mixtape. It will be hitting the airwaves on June 12, but today we’re dropping the lead single “Show It” featuring Cody B. Ware and production by S-X. Cody, a part of Queens’ World’s Fair Collective, made a splash with his solo album Welcome Home, and contributes a killer verse to intertwine with Carrie’s powerful vocals. Enjoy the track, and stay tuned for the album.

Those who cannot do, should step step aside. This is terrible and irritating singing over amateur watered down loose dubstep with no low end.

Very good! I've no idea what this people are talking about. I do think the rapper sucks though ...

Holy shit this is bad.  Mishka records? who ever is A&Ring over there must have gotten one hell of a blowjob. holy shit she is flat the whole song and the vocals sound like they were written recorded and mixed in a really big sardine can. I think this is genuinely the worst thing I ever clicked on on hypetrak.
