Unreleased Beastie Boys performance from Chappelle’s Show
As a tribute to the late Adam 'MCA' Yauch, co-creator of Comedy Central's Chappelle’s Show, Neal Brennan released rare footage of a Beastie Boys performance that never made its way onto the air. Comedian Dave Chappelle is known for his love of hip-hop, and a staple of his sketch-comedy show was the notable cast of performers to grace the stage during its closing every episode. Recorded during the third season of the show, the Beastie Boys are now seen performing their track “The New Style,” where all three emcees and their DJ Mix Master Mike are in top form as they perform outside in New York City. While Viacom briefly pulled the clip due to copyright issues, we now have a stream of the performance for fans to enjoy.
