Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg – Coachella 2012 Performance (featuring 2Pac, 50 Cent, Eminem and more)
By Petar Kujundzic / Live / April 16, 2012 / 61995 Views

The closing night of the 2012 Coachella Festival has become much more than fans bargained for. While Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg's performance has concluded moments ago, you can re-stream the gig which is likely to become one of the most epic festival performances in recent times. The legendary West Coast duo performed countless hits of their time-tested catalog including gems from classic album The Chronic and Doggystyle. In addition, both received assistance by Eminem and 50 Cent, Warren G, Kendrick Lamar and more. While Nate Dogg was honored with shown images on stage, the crowd witnessed a hologram presence by Tupac Amaru Shakur (32:20). Watch the historical gig above!

You'd prefer them dig up his corpse, attach some strings and use it as a puppet? Fine, but how do you explain that to the kids?...Eww

Because being brought back as a rap legend among rap legends to perform at one of the biggest annual musical events of the year is distasteful. Get outta here.

haha no you dumbass, That's the point, he's dead. You'll see what happens, they are already talking about getting Aaliyah made into a hologram. This will get very boring very quickly and will eventually realise it wasn't a good or classy idea.

Jokes aside, the use of someone image is a very testy issue as you point out (the numerous Che Guevara t-shirts on sale case in point). But this I'm actually in favour of mostly because it involves  as Gabriel said two rap legends that were actually collaborators with Tupac when he was alive and from watching the video they did nothing to offend his legacy. You could say that they only did this for the money but the public didn't know about any of this until this week with Coachella tickets having long sold out, so it seems like they were playing genuine tribute. Nevertheless, this hasn't been the first time something like this has happened and I'm guessing it won't be the last either.
