BBC Newsnight interviews Odd Future

British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) had the opportunity to talk to Odd Future during their recent visit in London. In a rather comically interesting conversation, Newsnight host Stephen Smith sat down with Tyler, the Creator, Domo Genesis, and Left Brain to discuss some aggressive lyrics and the importance of their merchandise. If you want to see more impressions of their London concert and some randomness, go here.

it is kinda interesting seeing how ridiculous it seems to people outside the music blog circuit, although the bbc seems to treat them as something idiotic kids who stumbled on a way to make money and generate a following via an "underground" movement. funny they seemed baffled by the idea of them releasing a lot of free shit and not really just buying ads and shit, thats the music industry status quo i guess, until the past few years

that is such a bad report, guy doesn't know what he's talking about, typical they get the 'old white guy' to do the interview so he can slate it

This was a totally ridiculous interview - shown just before Paxman. Talk about two world collide. Even with the most unfavorable editing possible it still makes the interviewer look like a twat.

I never realised the guy on the album cover and t-shirts was an actual person in Odd Future, I though they'd just got a picture of some random weird looking kid...

It's totally intentional. If they didn't want to shape the piece that way they could've tapped any 1xtra DJ they have...
