Hodgy Beats & Tyler, The Creator – NY (Ned Flander)

The gang has been hitting various social avenues to let fans know that the video for their track "NY (Ned Flander)" was going to be released today. The track will appear on the upcoming OF Tape Vol. 2 album, which the promo video was recently released for, and the track features both Hodgy Beats & Tyler, the Creator. Previewing a portion of the track at the Project X premier party, we now get the full track. The video serves as the sequel to "Rella," and is the second part of a trilogy of videos, for which we'll have to wait and see the final conclusion. Directed by Wolf Haley, enjoy the video up top and let us know what you think. OF Tape Vol. 2 is out March 20.

    At this point, whether justified or not, OF has a cult following so large that ANYTHING they release is going to get HUGE hype, good or bad. That being said, I think this video is absolutely pointless and the song shows nothing new or different than before. I mean, both of their flows are tight and Tyler comes through with this typical style, but thats the issue, it's typical. It's getting predictable.

    Glorifying? Barely. Have you ever listened to Insane by Eminem? Like that song is any better then this. If anything the video is going against bad parenting and all the trash and diddlers we have in America. Just the other day in a city near me child services took a baby from a home. The mother was a crackhead, the baby was wearing clothes 3 times too small for her and the ambulance had to cut them off because she was suffocating, she was covered in lice, and the father? He was a child moulester. This shit happens every day, open your eyes and realize this song is far from "glorifying" the situation and just showing the "disgusting" truth that happens in lower income homes.
