NBC will now screen The Roots’ song choices for ‘Jimmy Fallon’
by Jonathan Sawyer / News / December 8, 2011 / 2175 Views

After the recent controversial incident between the house band for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and politician Michelle Bachmann, where the band performed "Lyin' A** B***h" when she walked on stage, NBC has now chosen to screen the song choices of the legendary Roots crew. Previously, renowned drummer ?uestlove had the power to seemingly choose whatever track he so desired, for when guests would walk onto the Fallon-lead talk show. But of course after offending the Republican presidential candidate on live television, the network felt it only necessary to take appropriated action. So much for freedom of speech — or something like that.

weak.  hoping it's just something to save face.  i doubt they'll even need to censor The Roots' picks.  Seemed like they got a little too slick with that one, but the majority of the walk-on song choices are good natured

Fuk jimmy fallon for apologizing to michelle bachman. He should've backed up the roots; honestly he doesn't deserve that band, and I can't understand how he enjoys having guest like that on his show.
