Las Vegas declares ‘Deadmau5 Day’

Just after inking a deal with the luxurious Wynn Las Vegas, the city's Mayor Carolyn Goodman has officially declared January 2, 2012 as "Deadmau5 Day." Seeing as the world-renowned DJ will be seemingly calling Sin City home for the next year, due to his newly signed contract, appropriated parties involved thought it only necessary to honor the Canadian artist in such a manner.

"Las Vegas is the entertainment capital of the world and deadmau5 represents the cream of the crop in electronic dance music, the hottest genre of music that has made an significant positive financial impact to the city this past year," said Sean Christie, co-owner and managing partner of Encore Beach Club and Surrender Nightclub, in a statement. "Mayor Goodman's proclamation of 'deadmau5 Day' is an important symbolic acknowledgement of this wildly popular entertainment form that has come to define the best in Las Vegas nightlife."

    This is such pointless, hapless nonsense - I hope this guy dies of a meth overdose soon and the brainwashing of children will cease.  This is purely an indication that the singularity is near and EDM will die with this guy.  Monopolized epicism is so dangerous.  Everything this guy touches I hate afterwards and will never participate in it again, I will never celebrate deadmau5 day - nor will I suck any mau5dick like all his fanchildren
