New mixtape from Lupe Fiasco as he quietly gives thanks to fans during today's holiday festivities through musical form. This Friend of The People mixtape was initially set to drop in around Christmas of 2009 but was set aside for his Mount Kilimanjaro voyage to raise awareness of the global water crisis, in which he successfully completed. Also be on the lookout for Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album soon to follow.

    I like this mixtape quite a bit. Clear your mind, open it, and just listen. People keep listening to Lupe with standards and expectations and shit. Just listen to what he gives you. He's still bringing it lyrically. People just don't like the choice of beats. He still speaks the truth though.
